Holy Land- Where it all started. Why Visit the Holy Land? Visiting the Holy Land is an experience of a lifetime, especially those who are in search of the traditions of Christianity, being the land where Jesus Christ himself was born, preached and died. There are many places in the world that offer the opportunities of Pilgrimages or historical exploration, such as Rome and Lourdes, but none offer the historical significance that Jesus Christ actually walked and lived there. What Can I see and do? While the Holy Land, comprising Israel and the Palestinian, is not large in comparison to most other countries, the significant sites of the Holy Land stretch from Bethlehem in the centre of the country to Nazareth in the North. The significant places to visit associated with Christianity are listed on the left, but there are many places in the Holy Land that are of equal importance to the Muslim and Jewish faiths, such as the “Dome of the Rock” for Muslims and the “Temple Mount” for the Jewish faith. In fact Jerusalem is important to all 3 religions, Christian, Muslim and Jewish, which is why over the centuries there has been so much conflict over this ancient city. It is worth remembering however that in order to see all significant places of interest from Bethlehem to Nazareth travelling by coach is required with overnight stays in two or even three separate locations.

For Church Pilgrimage Groups A full religious itinerary can be arranged for you in the main Sanctuaries. Chapels are available for use by visiting Pilgrimage groups. The staff at Vapour trails will arrange all ceremonies at the Sanctuaries for your group.
