Some Thoughts
Why not consider going to Assisi or
San Giovanni Rotondo while in Rome.
Assisi is to be found some 3 hours
journey from Rome and San Giovanni
Rotondo some 5 hours away, both by
private coach.
How Can Your Group Make Rome More Affordable?
Is Rome one of those places that no matter how many times you go to visit, it never gets boring or do you get the feeling I
never want to go back their again. We are sure that there must be a number of people who dislike Rome, but for the
majority it is the Eternal City as always.
Over the last 3 years however, for a variety of reasons, the cost of visiting the Eternal City has risen, to the point where it
can be off putting to visiting groups, as you get what you pay for. The easiest way to reduce the cost is to visit Rome out of
season, which is the winter months but also July and August due to the high temperatures in Rome. Rome in Winter does
not mean that it will be cold, but that of course cannot be guaranteed. Low season means that rates for hotels and maybe
even airline fares can be lower, but reducing the board type from “Half Board” to “Bed and Breakfast” does make the
package price appear lower, but when you account for the cost of eating out, you may actually be paying more.
Without a doubt, excluding some specific dates such as half term school holidays, traveling to Rome out of season does
reduce the cost.
